Yeah, so this came up in my Autotrader browsing. Drooooool. Also I never see them this cheap. Gotta be that transmission issue + no airbags.

1. I totally get the want for this car. First time I drove one...it's something special.
2. What the heck do they mean by "no airbags?" They took them out? They're broken? What?

You mention the transmission and airbags...I think mileage is probably contributing quite a bit to that price. I wouldn't touch a BMW closing in on 160,000 miles. Never been a risk taker.

Rebuild the trans, roll bar, harness, sticky tires and race the damned wheels off it!

That is unique car design right there. Is in bucket list of cars.

No clue...I almost wouldn't care, tbh

Bah, I don't consider a car, any car, to be "not new" until it has at least 100k, and 150k is getting nice and broken in. But I am weird. And I've had the transmission in a 164k car asplode on me before, so maybe I should change my ways.

I've always liked how it looked, very rarely see one tho. And one this cheap is almost unheard of in my area.

So having to constantly hold the gear stick in place for 3rd is a "little quirk?" *sigh*

I feel that way with Hondas, Toyotas, and certain other specific cars known for longevity, but this BMW doesn't seem like its in that category... Purty, though.

I guess it would be like rolling a dice with only one side having a number.

If you're interested in getting a clownshoe check out this guy's site. He catalogs all the clownshoes for sale each week and keeps track of sales and prices.
